Thank you for making the Gothenburg conference a success!

More than 200 delegates from 28 countries came to Gothenburg for this first UITP event on urban governance and demand management. UITP was very pleased to gather delegates from across Europe but also coming from distant places, as far as China, India, Taiwan, Singapore, Iran, Kenya, the United States, Canada and Turkey. Gothenburg, the birthplace of PTx2, with its determined K2020 strategy was an ideal host city and together with Västtrafik, they warmly welcomed the conference audience. PTx2 strategy

In 2009, UITP launched the public transport sector strategy ‘PTx2’, aiming to double the worldwide public transport market share by 2025. To achieve this, both a radical change in citizens’ mobility patterns and strong political support are needed, leading UITP to identify the two key areas of demand management and integrated urban policies. Read more about UITP PTx2 strategy.
